Alberta regulator introduces OneStop for pipeline licence applications

AER introduces OneStop

All new pipeline applications must be submitted using new OneStop platform

The Alberta Energy Regulator(AER) announced the launch of a new online process for new pipeline construction applications under the Pipeline Act using the OneStop platform, according to a press release.

All new pipeline construction applications of the following types must be submitted using OneStop:

  • construction of a new pipeline or pipeline installation requiring a new licence number,
  • construction of a new pipeline or pipeline installation being added to an existing licence number,
  • licensing of an unlicensed pipeline or a pipeline installation requiring a new licence number, or
  • licensing of an unlicensed pipeline or a pipeline installation being added to an existing licence number.

AER has also released quick reference guides that explains how to use new platform to submit new pipeline construction applications.

The guides are issued under section 6 of Directive 056. The information requirements for pipeline licence applications under section 6 have not changed.
