Texas oil and gas production statistics for Nov. 2015 – Railroad Commission

Oil prices may be down, but Texas production is up for Nov. 2015 compared to the year before, according to new statistics from the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Production for Nov. 2015 is 70,969,209 barrels of crude oil and 596,523,139 Mcf (thousand cubic feet) of total gas from oil and gas wells. You can find Oct. Texas production statistics as reported by American Energy News here.

These preliminary figures are based on production volumes reported by operators and will be updated as late and corrected production reports are received, according to the Railroad Commission.

Production reported to the Railroad Commission for the same time period last year, Nov. 2014, was: 67,660,682 barrels of crude oil preliminarily, updated to a current figure of 86,464,573 barrels; and 600,389,620 Mcf of total gas preliminarily, updated to a current figure of 719,146,191 Mcf.

The Railroad Commission reports that in the last 12 months, total Texas reported production was 1.007 billion barrels of crude oil and 8.4 trillion cubic feet of total gas.

Crude oil production is limited to oil produced from oil leases and does not include condensate, which is reported separately.

Texas preliminary Nov. 2015 crude oil production averaged 2,365,640 barrels daily, compared to the 2,255,356 barrels daily average of Nov. 2014. Texas preliminary Nov. 2015 total gas production averaged 19,884,105 Mcf (thousand cubic feet) a day, compared to the 20,012,987 Mcf daily average of Nov. 2014. Texas production in Nov. 2015 came from 183,882 oil wells and 90,345 gas wells.
