According to the Houston Chronicle, firefighters are battling a fire that broke out Friday morning at a southeast Houston refinery.
The Pasedena Police Department said the fire broke out at 10 a.m. at LyndonellBassell facility at 1200 Lawndale near N. Allen Genoa and the firm’s crews are battling the flames.
It’s one of the nations largest refineries that processes heavy-sulfur crude oil according to the company’s website.
It also produces fuels like reformulated gasoline, diesel, heating oil, jet fuel, olefins feedstocks, aromatics, lubricants and petroleum coke.
